New ADSL2+ connection

Author: Well we have had our new ADSL2+ installed for just over 2 weeks now.
Our house wiring for the phone setup is actually quiet bad, to much cable just sitting in piles under the house, bad connections all over the place.
A few images below of the new gateway as it seems to be called.

Telstra bigpond modem / router etc and the switch on the top to provide access to the other computers that seem to be collection all over the house 
I can download at around 470kbps which is not the best considering that we have a 20mbit connection, so we get about 5.0mbit.

I tried a connection speed test at speedtest.net

And next is the distance from the exchange to our place.

Quiet a fare distance, and this one exchange seems to service about 15 suburbs, I got the above information from the adsl 2 exchanges web site.
